- 42 weeks: Mon – Fri [9:00 am - 5:00 pm]
- 84 weeks: Tue / Wed / Thu [6:00 pm - 10:00 pm]; Sat [9:00 am - 5:00 pm]
Course Overview
The aim of the program is to educate students in the fundamentals of hair design ranging from hair cutting to colouring and salon management. Based on the exclusive and world renowned Pivot Point curriculum, students will not only learn how to create unique hair experiences but more importantly, they will understand the reasons why they are truly different. Ultimately, this type of knowledge will provide them with the necessary skills to excel in the lucrative beauty industry.

- Hair Sculpture
- Four basic forms and their variations
- Wet and thermal hair design for the various sculpture forms
- Hair braiding, hair extensions and additions
- Hair Texture
- Basic and advanced perming, hair relaxing
- Thermal reconditioning and curl reformation
- Salon Success
- Psychological, communication and business aspects of the hair design industry
- Hair Colour
- Essential and advanced hair colour, chemistry and application techniques and designs
- Long Hair Design
- Air forming and thermal styling, tools and design options
- Various techniques including different types of twists and knots, loops, overbraiding and underbraiding, single, vertical and double rolls
- Advanced Hair
- Different combination sculpting techniques
- Knowledge and practice in slide cutting/notching, razor etching, point cutting
- Thermal and wet hair designs using flat iron, rollers and pincurls
